✅⚡ Please charge the vehicle depending on your drive. Maximum battery charge while driving locally versus driving over long distances will vary. Always charging to 100% overnight is not recommended unless you're traveling far the next day.
Local driving - Charge to 80% max battery overnight
Long distance - Charge to 100% max battery overnight
✅🔋 Please return vehicles with at least 60% battery level*. You may purchase a Prepaid EV Recharge for $35 to avoid fees.
0%–20% charge = $50 critically low battery fee
21%–50% charge = $20 low battery fee
51%–59% charge = $10 low battery fee*
*51%-79% charge = $10 low battery fee for Nikki Tesla Model 3
60%–100% charge = No fee*
*80%-100% charge = No fee for Nikki Tesla Model 3
✅ 📷 Please take a photo of the battery charge upon return to keep a record. Battery levels can drop depending on temperature and other factors.
📌 IMPORTANT: Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) Capability are NOT fully autonomous. The car still REQUIRES YOUR FULL ATTENTION WHILE DRIVING. You must keep your hands on the wheel at all times and monitor your surroundings and other road users when the these features are engaged!
⚠️ Using FSD is a privilege, not a right. Use it safely and responsibly. Pay full attention to the road and be prepared to take over at any time. If FSD becomes disabled due to your inattentiveness, we will lose access to the feature and you will be charged a $500 fee.
🚫🪫 Please do not leave the vehicle battery level below 20% overnight. State of charge below 20% while parked for extended periods starts causing damage to the battery. Battery replacement due to damage can cost $10,000 or more.
🚫🔌 Please do not force the charging cable in or out of the socket. Use the disconnect button from the car or within the charging cable. Once the LED is white, that means it is ready to disconnect. Charge port repairs due to damage can cost $2,500 or more.
🚫🔌 Please do not force the charging cable in or out of the socket. This may break the connection.
🚫 No racing, no towing - Engaging in these and other prohibited uses violates Turo policy.

Charge your vehicle 3 ways:
Tesla Supercharger (Level 3) - Fastest charging typically in 1 hour or less to get a full charge. Simply plug in and go! After you return the vehicle, we will send you an invoice of the supercharger charges you incurred during your trip.
Standard charging stations (Level 2) - Companies like ChargePoint, Blink, Volta, or EVgo offer free and paid charging where you can get a full charge in about 8 hours or less. You will need to pay for these services on your own.
Home charging (Level 1) - Our Teslas come with a home charging kit that lets you plug into any standard outlet with 110V or 220V where you can get a full charge in about 12 hours
Keep the battery charged at 80% for short trips. You can charge to 100% if you're driving long distances. This keeps the battery in good condition.
Take advantage of Tesla's smart driving features like Full-Self Driving (FSD) capabilities and Enhanced Autopilot.
Our Tesla vehicles are enabled with Turo Go so you can unlock the car remotely.
📱 However, we recommend downloading the Tesla app from the Android Play Store or Apple iOS App Store so you can remotely control the vehicle (unlock, climate, etc.) be alerted of charging status so you don't incur additional fees, and more.
Shortly before your trip, you will receive a link to access the vehicle. With the Tesla app, you can remotely control the vehicle (open or close doors, vent windows, flash lights, start the car, or honk the horn), control climate, share directions, summon the vehicle, and more. Click on the link provided to set up the app to set up your access.
3️⃣ Use any Level 3 Tesla Supercharger in your area. Look up the closest Supercharger in your vehicle touchscreen or on your phone. Supercharging takes roughly 40-60 minutes to get to a full charge (charging up to 20 miles of range per minute).
2️⃣ Use any Level 2 chargers with our included Level 2 adapter. Some chargers are free, but some may require an account. At this time, we only provide charging with your rental through the Tesla Supercharger network. We charge a $100 fee for any broken or lost adapters.
1️⃣ Charge at home with the Home Charging Kit included with your rental. This takes the most amount of time to charge, typically around 8 hours, but for convenience you can plug it in to any home outlet. We charge a $350 fee for any lost or broken kits.
Use the disconnect button from the car or on the charging cable. Once the LED is white, that means it is ready to disconnect. 🚫🔌 Please do not force the charging cable in or out of the socket. This may break the connection. Charge port repairs due to damage can cost $2,500 or more.
You have the convenience of using the Tesla Supercharger network. Find superchargers through the vehicle touchscreen. After your trip, we will bill you for any supercharger charges you incur during your rental period. This may include taxes and idling fees.
If a Supercharging station has more than half of its Superchargers occupied, vehicles that are fully charged will incur an idle fee. For every additional minute a fully charged car remains connected to the Supercharger, it will incur a +$0.40 idle fee. If the car is moved within 5 minutes, the fee is waived.

🪫 The higher you set the cabin temperature, the more energy it will drain from the battery.
We recommend using the seat heater and setting the cabin temperature to 68°F.
⚡ The car will not fast charge unless the battery temperature is warm enough.
The Tesla will tell you if the battery is too cold with a blue line, ❄️ snow flake icon, or yellow lightning on the vehicle screen or Tesla app.
At low temperatures, when those indicators are on, regenerative braking or charging will be limited.
🔌 You should charge the car right after a trip while the battery is still warm.
♨️ Use the Tesla app to precondition the car shortly before you drive (warm up batteries and cabin), especially if connected to a charger.
Open the Tesla app and select 'Climate' > 'Turn On.'
The car will not precondition if the battery level is 20% or lower.
🛣️ For optimal range, keep tire pressures between 42-44 PSI, regardless of weather.
Keep tire pressure 1 PSI higher than the recommended range shown on the placard by the driver side door.
In the Tesla app, select Controls and view the tire pressure on the top right.
In the car, swipe the play/pause part of the screen below the vehicle diagram to the right.
🎈 We recommend putting in air if tire pressure is below 32 PSI.
Discount Tire can air up your tires and inspect their tread at no charge.
Some Costco locations have free air compressors for use.
